A whiteboard for your doodling

When I was at school all we had was a blackboard but now I'm lead to believe that whiteboards are what teachers use.

If you can connect your PC to a big screen, then you could use this program in a classroom too as Whiteboard recreates a virtual whiteboard environment when you can draw, write and instantly delete images in a matter of seconds. When you run the program, you get four different colours to choose from - black, red, blue and green plus an eraser to delete them all. By using your mouse or simply typing on your keyboard, you can sketch, scribble or doodle just about any design you can imagine on the whiteboard. For adults it's nothing more than a bit of fun but for kids it can be a useful way to allow them to go doodle crazy without scribbling all over your favourite books or important paperwork. The marker pen looks very realistic and it moves generally very smoothly across the screen although if you scribble to fast, you may find that it tends to disappear a bit or can perform rather sluggishly. It could also do with a few more colours to choose from although it seems it's principally designed as a learning application than an artistic one.

Just doodle your heart away or bring out the creative side in you, whiteboard is a fun and useful application.

Draw with red, green, blue, and black markers. Use the eraser to clean up the whiteboard. Right-click on the board to set a start point and then start typing.

Markings on the whiteboard are automatically saved when the program is closed.
With whiteboard you can turn your PC into a virtual drawing app in a flash.

PROS

  • Allows you to scribble and doodle instantly
  • Realistic marker pen and erase effects

CONS

  • Marker pen can be slow when used fast

I recommend it for on-line or visual classroom. With a whiteboard you can demonstrate to students.
